Orchidea Workshops has several special features which make the workshop experience even better. They are:

Timer

You can set a timer for each phase by clicking the clock -icon in the top right corner of your workshop screen.

Once have set the time and clicked on the Start button, a timer appears to the bottom right corner of each participants' screen. The timer will flash

  • when there is one minute remaining
  • when there is 30 seconds remaining
  • continuously for the last 5 seconds

 

 

 

Random pictures stimulus

In ideation workshops some users might run out of insights in the Collect -phase. You can help them to get new perspectives to the topic with random pictures stimulus. Each user can open the stimulus app by clicking the light bulb in the top right corner of the screen when they feel the need.

In the appearing window the users sees random pictures that can trigger new insights through association. If a pictures arouses interest, the user can click it to see larger version of it.

 

User can change the location of the stimuli window by clicking the grid icon and chancing the location by choosing 2, 3 or 4.

 

Export workshop results

Participants can export the workshop results to Microsoft Word by clicking the Export icon in the workshop row.

Share groups to other participants

In some workshop methods users continue working on the groups created in Collect -phase in a small groups of 2-3 people. To facilitate this participants can share their groups to other members of the small group with Share -functionality in Collect -phase.

User can share their groups in the following manner:

  1. The click on the Share -button in the top part of the page in Select -page
  2. The click those users in the appearing window that they want to share their groups to. The selected users move in the window  to under heading Selected users. If they want to remove a user from Selected users, they can do it by clicking the X-sign on the right hand side of each selected user.
  3. Once they have selected the correct users, they share them by clicking Submit

 

Once the everybody has shared their groups to other members of the small group, they present their groups to the small group. The idea of the presentation is not to explain the groups thoroughly, but merely to summarize the key points of each group. The receiving members of the small group are invited to give constructive feedback and development comments on the groups.
